Okay, so I figure if I'm going to use this site as an excuse to be anti-social-networking and not use sites like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, whatever thing the kids are using I better start updating this thing more.  So I'm going to try and figure out a way to incorporate some sort of blog software on here so I can update more easily.

Also, since I'm the proud owner of an iPhone and have joined the Apple collective, I'm also able to be more mobile and still stay connected.  Also I'll be trying to snap more pictures and videos and get them up onto here.  I have quite a few albums of photos I still need to upload here.  In the meantime, you can check out my MobileMe Gallery online here: http://gallery.me.com/onlynameigot.

Anyways, as far as what I've been up to.  Been keeping to my "diet", which is pretty simple of trying to keep under 1500 calories a day.  So far I've lost about 15 more pounds since the start of the year, which puts me 75 lbs under my starting weight, which I'm happy with.  Starting to also do some workouts to start trying to tone up and try and replace the fat with some actual muscles, as well as burn some more calories/fat.

I also went to a shooting range and fired a gun for the first time.  Went with Dan and his friend and his friend's friends.  Was pretty fun.  The shooting range we went to was out by Azusa and we got a "private range" which was nice because we had more freedom to do what we wanted.  I got to fire two handguns (a glock and some short compact revolver), a Remington 870 shotgun, an AR-15 rifle and something I think called "fow" or something like that.  Was different than I expected it to be but in a good way, was a blast (pun intended).  Shot at targets and also clay pigeons.  My first shot (was with the shotgun) was just a test fire to get used to it, and then my first real shot trying to hit a clay pigeon I nailed it, so I was proud of myself.  The rest of the day I shot like a beginner (a couple hits, mostly off target misses), but had a great time.

Woot! First post of the new decade.  I've officially been alive less than 30 years, but seen 4 decades, 2 millennium and 2 centuries.  Pretty crazy.  Well last year's resolution seems to have worked as well as I could have hoped.  Giving up all fast food and soda helped me lose a total of 60 pounds over the course of the year.  I also started playing basketball weekly with some friends, which has been a great source of exercise.  I plan to try and continue to keep the fast food and soda to a minimum, and try and add more exercise to the routine (we got a new elliptical that is pretty fun to use).  Hopefully I can continue to lose weight and get down to my target weight and no longer be the jolly fat guy that people know me as.

Just in case you haven't heard about the late night brouhaha over at NBC, they are going to cancel the Jay Leno Show and want to move him back to 11:35pm and move Conan back to 12:05 (keeping the Tonight Show title).  I've been to a couple tapings of the Tonight Show with Conan, and I've been a big fan of his for a long time now since his days on Late Night.  So I'm with Conan fighting this move and keeping his slot.  NBC should just let Leno go if they don't want him at 10pm, but honor their commitment to Conan O'Brien.  Anyways, figured I'd rant a bit about it here.  I like Leno, but Conan's my favorite, so I hope NBC keeps him at 11:35pm and as their main man.
