November 1st, 2009

So hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!  Things are going well here, well as in the same as normal.  Which I can't really complain about, but it's better than being in a gutter.  Anyways, I figured I post a q quick picture of the two pumpkins I carved for Halloween.  I got a kick out of them, hope you like them too.

Besides that, I might be starting up a new website venture with my friend Albert, so hopefully that works out.  Should be an interesting outing as it'll be the first time I try and monetize a website and run it as a business.  Here's hoping!

September 20th, 2009

Today is my birthday!  Whoo hoo!  Turned 28 today.  Starting to feel old.  Mind and maturity level around age 20 make it hard to take getting older used to.  I think I'd be dealing better if I was farther along in life, career/personal goals wise.  Let's hope that next time I can report better news come this day next year.

But to celebrate I had my one day exception to my no soda/fast food dealio this year.  Was very nice to have them again.  Although if I can keep losing weight without them I might extend the deal past the new year, or at least modify it to allow for an occasional meal.  As of a couple weeks ago when I last checked I'd lost 50 lbs. so far this year.  Not bad, but about half way at least to where I want to be.  I need to work on my regular food diet, cut back on portions and the like.  Also need to find a way to burn more calories.  Basketball once a week is nice, but I need a lot more.

Okay, I'm done, figured I'd at least make an entry for the day.  G'night folks.

September 15th, 2009

Well, first off, I'm feeling much better.  The sickness lasted about 2 1/2 weeks and still to a minor degree still is throwing off my balance, but it's barely noticeable and only during certain activites.

But anyways, as you might noticed I've done a few little changes on this page.  The biggest one being the addition of the XBOX 360 blog below.  Basically it's an automated blog that's written by my XBOX 360 based on what games I play and stuff like that.  It's pretty neat, give it a read!

And uh, it doesn't look like I'll be able to get JmanX.com open by my birthday as I'd planned.  Kind of had a setback with being sick and then having to work my ass off to make up for missing an entire paycheck.  I'm working on it though, hopefully I'll get it going shortly though.

August 14th, 2009

So when it rains it pours it seems.  Shortly after my last emo-licious entry here, I got some sort of ear virus infection thing that has basically left me bed-ridden for the past few days and possibly a few more from here out.  Sucks BIG TIME!

August 9th, 2009

What a fool I am.  Sometimes you come to realizations about yourself and rarely have I found them to be pleasant.  Tonight was one of those nights.

I've realized that pretty much my whole life that I can remember has been an effort to try and get people to like me.  I've fooled myself into thinking that there was a nobler reason, or that it was just my nature to do the things I do.  But it's a lie, and a sad pathetic one.  I've spent so much energy trying to learn and listen to things so that I might be someone people could talk to.  Maybe if I knew what they wanted to talk about they'd talk to me.  Maybe if I was the one who'd be there to listen then they'd spend some time with me.  I've bought so many toys and material things to entertain and get people's interests.  Come play this game with me, look how nice it is here, don't you wanna sit for awhile?

What goals and dreams of mine don't revolve around this selfish goal?  I like to think, if I had money or was able to help enough people would think I was good and someone they should be around.  I've tried changing the way I look because maybe if I wasn't so fat or ugly people would be attracted to me and want me.

I've sank to such depths that sadden me and leave me with a life of regrets and nothing to show for it but a meaning-less pile of stuff and virtually no one around.  No one who cares, no one who really wants to be with me, no one that would love me.  All I am to the world is whatever they can get from me, and of course I'll gladly give it all.  Because I'm a slave to it, I need the scraps of attention I get just as much I need to breath.  And desperate people do desperate things.

And what is worst, is that I've fought myself on all accounts even on this.  Self sabotage has been a culprit all throughout.  I push away everyone and everything.  If I can't have things my way or how I want them, I leave it behind.  I find ways to find fault in all things, and burn every bridge.  Sooner or later, I push away everyone.  If it hasn't happened yet, someday it will.  I am alone, by choice and by action, now and until the day I die.  God help me please, cause without you I really am all by myself.

Testing out new webcam stream for the site.  See if it works.  Enjoy the show if it does.  I figure I'll leave it on most of the time.  You get to see how boring things are on this end.

must remember to fix bed hair before coming on here...

March 8th, 2009

So I didn't get around to mentioning it in my last update, but I finally have my motorcycle back and running.  For those unfamiliar, end of last year my bike was having problems where it would stall out and die when I was riding it.  After having some back and forth issues with the dealership mechanics, and several failed attempts to fix it, they finally got it taken care of and back on the road.  Now I just gotta find an excuse to take it out for a ride more often than just going to work and back.  Wish my "night" job was giving me more hours that way I could drop the day job and have Saturdays off to go on rides with my Dad's motorcycle group.

Recently had a couple mini-vacations.  Couple weeks ago my Thursday night bowling league took their trip to Las Vegas.  We stayed at the South Point hotel, which I still say is pretty damn nice, although you gotta drive to the strip if you wanna visit the rest of the hotels.  Didn't end up winning any money, although we (my team) did manage to get our "I Tried" towels for totally tanking and coming in last place, which was an accomplishment in it's own.  Which reminds me, this next season we're going to try and do well, the motto for our team will be "Worst to First".  To try and help, I finally broke down and bought a new bowling ball.  The old one I had was from back in 2001 or so when I worked at the bowling alley and was essentially a used ball that was super cheap.  It's served me well over the years, but I think if I'm going to try and get better I need to get one that's better suited for my style of play.

This past weekend my Dad, my brother Ray and I all took a trip out to Arizona.  The occasion for the trip was to go see the Dodger's first spring training game at their new facility in Glendale. Arizona.  Last year during our Florida vacation we were able to see their last spring training game at Vero Beach, so was cool to be able to "close" there and "open" at this new place.  Oh and while we were there at the game my Dad managed to get Jason Repko's autograph, and my brother managed to get the Dodger's owner Frank McCourt.

But the personal highlight for me was to get to visit my friend Jackie who lives out in Tucson.  Been about 6 months since she last came out here to visit and able to see each other.  Caught a movie and dinner and finally got to meet her Mom and step-father.  Was very cool and as always a pleasure just to hang out with Jackie again.  Wish I had more time and was able to see more of the area and do more.  Will try and make it back out there in July I think and spend a couple days there visiting.

Okay then, that's about it for now.  I should have some free time coming up so hopefully I'll be able to make good on that promise to start working on the "main" websites again.  We'll see, I also have video games to play and movies to watch.

February 17th, 2009

Hmm, I seem to have forgotten about this site again.  Once more my sites have gone neglected.  I think it's time though for an update.

So to anyone who may have noticed that I've been missing from my usual online hangouts, or to all the old myspace/facebook people who noticed my profile is gone, I would imagine this next statement is pretty obvious by now.  I'm no longer (and haven't been for awhile) going to bother with the internet community as a whole.  If you want to find out what's going on with me you can check it out here.  This site will be the only place I bother to "blog" or post about what's going on with me.

Also to anyone who may have personally known me in the "real life" outside of computers, unless I'm still talking to you I think you may know by now that I've been missing.  This is done on purpose.  Thanks for all the good times and memories, but this is a solo act from here on out.  Don't bother contacting me, I likely won't respond.  Good luck to you all and hope you have wonderful lives.  Maybe some day things will change, but don't hold your breath, I won't.  Oh, and you can stop trying to talk to people I know or used to know to try and find out about me.  I don't give a care anymore about all that BS, which is why everyone but a select few I know I can trust have been cut out of my life.  Go live your own lives and stop wondering about mine.  Don't worry, after some time passes you'll forget all about me and be blissfully happy again, I know I will be.

Ah okay, so now that I've gotten that taken care of, I guess it's time to update since my last post (jeez, almost a year already? where do I start!).  Let's see, well due to our past landlords need to raise rent on our old house, we've had to move.  We're still in southern California, but at a new house that's actually pretty nice.  I've even lately tried to get into a bit of gardening and hoping to see how that works out.  Other than that, I've been working two jobs since about the same time.  Having both keeps me fairly busy, hoping that I can manage to move into a full time position at one or find something better elsewhere.  And no, I'm not going to say where I'm working so you little cyber-stalkers can come find me.  That about covers the major stuff.  Oh and still going strong on my new year's resolutions, almost 2 months in the books, hopefully it'll last the full year

In the future I'll try and update more often.  My work schedule with the two jobs has started to smooth out leaving me with some more free time to be able to catch up on things.  Now I just gotta stop being so damn lazy when it comes to this.  Well that felt good to get this updated again, maybe I'll even try fixing up some other stuff around the old website.  Till next time...(whenever that is)...

June 28th, 2008

Well, as it seems that lately all I've been up to is video games, I saw this video (which is a parody of the discovery channel's ad "I Love The World") and thought it was awesome, so enjoy!

June 11th, 2008

Okay, so I haven't done one of these little survey things in a while and this one was posted by Shalon on her myspace bulletin and I thought it looked interesting enough.  So here goes.

"Just Shoot Me" reruns on TV and the clicking of the keyboard keys

....What is your favorite number?
10.  It's a great number that oft gets no love.  But besides being the base for a lot of things in math (and the metric system), it's also the roman numeral for X, which I think is an obvious reason for me liking it.

On the phone probably taking a message for the 'rents.  Text? Jackie.  99% of the texts I get and send are to her.

Thanks to Netflix I've been catching up on a ton of movies I never saw, last night I finally got around to seeing "Training Day"

I started reading "Mind Hacks" but got about halfway and haven't messed with it in awhile.  I also started but didn't finish "Lisey's Story" by Stephen King

....Piercings?
No, I think I'll pass on that.

....Favorite Movie?
All-time favorite is TRON.  I'm a geek at heart.

Nope, but really really would like to.

....Do you like to travel by plane?
Did it for the first time in March, I loved it.  Want to do it again.

Arizona

Not really

I'm always hiding a good amount from everyone.

....ARE YOU 18?
I used to be for about a year.

Went to sleep at 4:30 am, woke up about 1:30pm...9 hours is more than enough.

....FIRST THING YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THIS MORNING?
What time is it, damn phone, gotta pee, what was I dreaming about, *censored*, what time is it, is that the mailman?

....WHAT DO YOU HAVE AT YOUR BEDSIDE?
A real wine barrel I use at a nightstand, on it is a lamp, speaker (for the surround sound system), keys, my wallet, cell phone (and charger cord), and a little notepad for my general musings and thoughts.

....GRILLED OR FRIED?...
Both.  If it's meat, grill it.  If it's potatoes or chicken, fry it.

....ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?
Not really, although not my preferred amount of light.

....FAVORITE HANGOUT?...
Probably the bowling alley

....3 THINGS YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT?....
The internet, tv, and someone to text me all the time

....FAVORITE SONG?..
Very hard to call, hard to name 1 that I like better than so many others, but I think ZZ Top - La Grange is right up there in the top 3 or so.

....WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?.....
Having to go back to work at Ralphs.

....ARE YOU A GIVER OR TAKER?....
I'm a giver when it comes to other people.  When it comes to me, I'm a taker.

I think I'd like to look the same but be in much better shape.

....STUCK ON A DESERTED ISLAND & COULD TAKE ONE THING?..
A satellite phone with a full battery charge?  Too easy?  Bear Grylls?  No that won't work, he's a ringer.  Probably a knife, I'd like to have someone else there but that'd be pretty selfish as they'd then be stranded too.

....WHO'S YOUR CELL PHONE PROVIDER?......
T-mobile, although I very tempted to switch to AT&T just to get the iPhone.

....FIRST THING YOU'LL SAVE IN A FIRE?...
Other than the family?  I'll probably grab my external hard drive.

....WHATS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR?.....
Red.  Simple.

....WHAT ARE THE THINGS YOU ALWAYS TAKE WITH YOU?......
Wallet, cell phone.  If I could somehow combine those that'd be awesome.

....WHAT DID YOU WANNA BE WHEN YOU WERE A KID?...
Astronaut.

Go to sleep.

....THE COLOR OF YOUR BEDSHEEt?..
Dark green on one side, maroon on the other.

....WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT BEFORE YOU GO TO BED?
"Jeez it's late."  And other private thoughts I won't share here.

April 4th, 2008

So, wow, things can change quickly.  Since my last post some big changes happened.  First off, WaMu decided that I was no longer someone they wanted to keep employed and fired me.  Which sucked big time.  And I've been having trouble finding a job since, so lately, I'm just kind of hanging around doing nothing.  First few days was nice, but since has been really lame.

In March my family and I took a vacation and went to Orlando, Florida!  Big dream of mine to be able to go and finally came true.  The big reason for us going out there was actually to go visit my mom's parents who are living out there now.  It was really nice to see them again and how they're doing out there.  They showed us around town and took us on some river boat cruise that was pretty neat.  Plus we were able to catch up and also learn some history and stuff.  I found out my Grandma is actually going to have a book published as well.  I'm definitely wowed by that.

Also on the trip we were able to go to Vero Beach and see the last 2 Dodger pre-season games there.  If you don't know, the Dodgers have played their pre-season games in Vero Beach, Florida for the past 60 years.  It's a big part of Dodger history, they even call it Dodgertown there.  But the Dodger owners decided to go with a deal to move their pre-season training to Glendale, Arizona.  A move no doubt inspired by a desire to make more money, which is lame.  Anyways, we were lucky to be able to visit for our first time, and see the last 2 games they played there and be a little part of the history.

The big highlight of the trip was actually going to Disneyworld.  We spent 4 days visiting the 4 different parks of Disneyworld.  It was amazing and definitely a great place to visit.  Even though we spent a full day at each one, we really needed many more days to experience everything they had there.  Also we got a chance to go briefly visit the Kennedy Space Center, which is an awesome place to check out, another one I'd like to go back to and see everything we missed.  Oh and all the pictures from the trip here.

Lastly, a big deal here on the homefront.  It seems like our landlord wants to sell our house that we live in.  So it looks like we're going house-hunting again and trying to find a new place to live.  Hopefully we can find something that works for us and that everything goes smoothly, although the way things are, I expect at least a few bumps in the road ahead.

January 1st, 2008 - Goodbye...

Dec. 31st, 2007

A lot has happened over the past year, not sure what to make of it all, but I'm here and it is what it is.

What did I do this year?
- Quit Ralphs.  Finally left the grocery store after 4 long years of work, a union strike, and a lot of turmoil, changes, and learning experiences, and of course a good friend in Dan.
- Started working at WaMu.  From Ralphs I went on to work a different sort of job.  Working at a bank is different than the grocery store.  A lot different atmosphere, a little more respectable (at least for me), and better pay.  I'm doing okay so far, still learning and getting better, hopefully I'll move up quick or move on to bigger better things.
- Moved out of the parents house.  Moved in with my friend Dan in a 3 bedroom apartment with another ex-coworker of mine named Khai.  Was a lot of fun being out on my own and these guys were really cool to hang out with.  Taught me a lot about living with people and about managing my time and budget.
- Moved back in.  After about 8 months of living in the apartment, I felt it was wisest to move back home and save my money.  There was some "tension" over things at the apartment, and I didn't feel it was the best place for me, so I went back home.  Now I'm trying to save my money and have a goal of getting my own place and doing things right.
- Got a new big screen HDTV.  Okay, so not one of life's great accomplishments, but I am damn proud of it.  It's a 37" LCD HDTV, and looks mighty fine in my room.  Got the PS3 hooked up to it and playing games and watching Blu-Ray movies are awesome.  Plus watching football has never been nicer on Sundays when watching in HD.  Probably my last big toy I'll get for awhile, but it's one that I'll enjoy for a long time.

All in all it was a crazy year for me.  I learned a lot about myself and what I want out of life and what to expect.  I'm still not too sure on what I want other than to get my own place.  I'm no longer concerned too much as I was before about finding a girlfriend or whatever; it's been forever since I was last with someone, and it does get to feeling lonely sometimes, but I've come to grips with it I guess.  I don't know what life will bring me, but I know that I'll continue on and face it and continue being.  Happy New Year to all, and to all a good night!

February 23rd, 2006

Well, like I said last time, things come at you fast, and they keep coming.  Looks like I might end up moving out and getting an apartment with my friend Dan as my roommate.  Looking at apartments this weekend, so wish me luck!

In the meantime, here's a cool survey I found:
Rules
1. Put your music player on shuffle.
2. Press forward for each question.

I guess that means I would and I'd be a gonner.

WHAT DOES YOUR MOM THINK OF YOU?

February 9th, 2006

Wow, been a little bit since I last updated.  Been a while since I actually had something to talk about.  For most of the past couple months it's been really boring, same stuff different days.  But like the Nationwide commercials say "Life Comes At You Fast".  The past couple weeks have seen a few big changes.

First off, my truck (the '78 F-250 Ranger) blew a head gasket a couple weeks ago, which was a major fix.  After some thought, we decided to have the entire truck's engine rebuilt for a complete overhaul.  So for the past 3 weeks or so the truck has been in the shop, but just this week it was finished and we got it back, and it's purring like it was fresh off the assembly line.  It's nice to have it running well and "new" again.  After 21 years on that engine, and over 100,000 miles, it held up like a champ.  Hopefully this 3rd life will be better and easier on the truck than it's first two (it's been through more than a lifetime of cars experience a few times over).

Secondly, and most importantly.  I'm now working at a new job.  I had been working at Ralphs Grocery store for the a little over 4 years, most recently doing night time (graveyard shift, midnight-8am) stocking.  That had been going okay, I became good friends with Dan, who also worked night crew, and I learned a lot about a lot of things.  But Ralphs' corporate execs have been changing a lot of things, and especially after the big grocery strike in 2003/2004, the grocery stores are no longer a place that was a good career for employees like me or new employees.  So I had been feeling it was time to move on for a little while now.  I had tried the electrician's apprenticeship program, but it appears the system is for those who intend to wait (possibly) several years before they can start.  So I've mostly given up on that career.  And thanks to some other employees who didn't like the fact that I did my job (and theirs to some degree) faster, better, and easier than they did, they complained about me to the store director and the store director had me transferred (his best option considering I'd done nothing wrong, so it was either transfer me away, or transfer away 4 other employees, which is something I wouldn't expect any store director to do).  So anyways, instead of working at some store far away, I quit.

Which brings me to the new job.  My brother Raymond recently starting working at Washington Mutual bank.  After hearing more about it, I decided I would apply and give it a try.  Well after a couple weeks of going through the application/interview/background check processes, I start work on Monday morning, Feb 12th!  I'm excited to be working at the bank, it will be a increase in pay starting over what I was making at Ralphs, and definitely has possibilities for careers in the future.  So hopefully this means good things.  And also means that I'm well on my way to moving out and starting life on my own.  I'm excited!

Well, things are going okay with the job at Ralphs.  Picked up my new motorcycle, which is a Triumph Bonneville Black, and it's sweet.  So if you're looking for me, look for me on my bike.  Here's a picture of me and the bike:

September 10th, 2006

Ah September.  One of the craziest months out of the year.  And this year does not disappoint.  I've been working my ass off at work, with days off few and far between (1 day off in my first 14 days).  But it does feel good to be back and work, I'm just tired out and can use another day off soon (next Friday will be my second day off).  Also, this is my family's biggest birthday month.  Including me (on the 20th), this is when a whole lot of people in my family have their birthdays.  So it's gonna be crazy trying to keep up.  I am kinda looking forward to my b-day, but probably won't be doing anything too big.  Probably just hanging out with my friends or something.  On the 19th of this month, I have my motorcycle driving skills test, so hopefully I'll have my license for my birthday and be able to take that to work and back and finally be able to drive at night (legally anyways).

Anyways, it seems like a lot of things going on, will be interesting trying to keep up on with everything, including my websites.  It's been tough keeping myself honest to not let updates start sliding back and becoming fewer and far between.  Hopefully I can keep on schedule and not let up on the updating.

August 28th, 2006

Well, let's see.  What's going on with me lately?  Well my job situation appears to be dealt with.  I'm probably going to going back to Ralphs and taking up my old job there.  It's not what I'd wanted, but it'll be a good enough place to go and stay until I finally get called up by the Electrician's union to start that (if they ever do call me in). At least I should be able to finally start catching up on all my bills and debts.

Life's been odd lately.  For a long time it seemed as if things had been suspended in a kind of time bubble, with nothing changing and things pretty normal (if not boring).  But now things are taking some turns I hadn't expected.  First was the Ralphs thing, I didn't want to have to go back but now I am, so it's almost a step backwards career wise.  Then on a recent trip to Disneyland it just so happened that we passed by my first girlfriend and her new husband walking by (it's been 5+ years since I last saw/talked to her).  We didn't talk, to be honest I didn't want to talk to her.  So yeah, weird coincidence of timing right?  Just recently I got a message from my last girlfriend who wanted to catch up on things and see how things were going.  I replied and it's was nice to hear from her again (it's almost been 2 years since we last talked).  But I mean, it's just been weird that out of the blue in the span of a month I either see or hear from my past 2 girlfriends whom it's been years since I've seen or heard from.  So it's like a time warp from the past coming back to say hello to the present me.  I'm not sure what's going on with everything or what I'm supposed to do.  Especially with it seems like everyone else I know moving on and living their life, while I'm seemingly going in reverse.  Confusing to say the least.

Oh well, I've been working on trying to figure out a method for uploading pictures on here that doesn't require hours of manual labor to do.  Hopefully a solution will present itself and I'll be able to get up all the old photos and some of the new ones.

August 8th, 2006

Well, now that JmanX.com is back up and running.  I've been keeping myself a little more busy updating that along with j0g.com and also Nehitters.com (a friend's site).  Still looking for a job.  Thought I'd have something with Trader Joe's but as time passes with no news I think my chances are evaporating.  The Electrician thing is looking pretty bleak.  I'm barely moving on the list, so it's going to be a long while before I finally get in there, which is a little upsetting because even though it's not my "ideal dream job", it's at least a good career that I could have made a living at.  So now for the first time since I started working when I was 18, I have no job, not in school, no girlfriend, and no clear direction on where I'm going here.  I can honestly say I'm a little frustrated and depressed.  Anyways, while I sit here and mope around, I figured I'd do another one of those online surveys that are so popular on myspace.  What can I say, I'm a junkie for them.  Here's a couple different ones:

July 8th, 2006

The writings and rants sections have been updated finally.  No more empty navigation text, all the sections of this site are now done.  All pages have been updated.  I'll be adding more of the old pictures from friends and stuff later on.  But now that I've got this finished (stuff that I've needed to add in since I put it up) I am forced to get back to JmanX.com, which should be back up soon.

Been calling the Electrician's union and trying to see how things are going (how long till I get called up to work).  The list is finally moving, so hopefully within a month or two I'll be starting.  Until then I have to get a temp job to keep paying the bills.  Gotta get off my ass and start the job hunt.

Other than that, I've been continuing to improve at driving the motorcycle, I think I'm ready to hit the streets, so hopefully it won't be long before I have my license and can take out the Yamaha Roadstar my Dad got for us to drive and start cruising for the ladies ;-D.

June 17th, 2006

Hmm, okay, well, finally back to this site.  Anything to avoid actually fixing JmanX.com it seems.  I've even created a whole 'nother site.  www.j0g.com is the new site.  It's basically a collection of flash loops, which are gif animations set to music or sound clips.  I've been having a lot of fun doing it, and it's nice to actually have a somewhat creative outlet.  Anyways, I suggest you all go take a quick j0g.

Other than that, I'm going to try and do some other updates here, and then that leaves me with no choice but to actually get JmanX.com running.  I will get to it sooner or later.  As Kevin said "that's a really long 24-36 hours!", hopefully it won't last too much longer.  In the meantime, here's a complete waste of everyone's time, another survey, this time it's lifted from Potter off of myspace.

Happy Birthday Midnight Box!

It's Midnightbox.com's birthday today, so they are selling a $1 Mystery Box that can contain any one of a bunch of different stuff. I got one the last time they had it, and got a couple neat little items, although someone got a Premium Xbox 360(!), not bad for just a buck (+$5 shipping standard). Anyways, if you guys see this, I'd recommend checking it out and getting one, nothing more fun than getting a mystery package in the mail, and for only a buck, how can you go wrong!

In other news, expect the new JmanX.com to go up later this week!  New stuff in store for the update, be there!

February 4th, 2006

It's weird sometimes how you wonder how people that you used to know wander back into your conscience.  Whether it's ex-relationships or old friends, the ones you never talk to anymore, it's funny how people can be so close or good friends and then something happens and you never talk to them again.  I wonder how my old friends are doing, from high school and a couple from before.  I sincerely hope they're all doing well and happy in life.

Pardon the following, I just have a bit of poison to let out of my head, instead of letting it fester there.  In my life I've made so many mistakes, I've driven people away and have done little to better myself in order to keep others close.  The guilt and pain aren't so much a burden I bear, as much as old nagging injuries.  They don't stop me from moving on or forward in life, and they're not a constant reminder.  But every so often, when things get lonely and you're by yourself, they start to act up and creep in the back of your mind and remind you of everything you've done.  Remind you that you don't deserve everything that you have and have gotten.  Many people have done worse things that I have, and most haven't done what I've done either.  I have dug my grave deep, I've carved every reason on the headstone, and have accepted that fate.  Yet for some reason I am not lying there in that hole, for some reason I keep on keeping on.  God must have some purpose for me that I don't know yet.  Whether it's an example of what not to do, or maybe some redemption in the far future that I cannot see.  I don't understand why.  Karma is essentially reaping what you sow, and I've definitely sown enough bad things to earn a whole harvest of bad karma.  But I have been kept from it, or it hasn't been returned to me yet.  And I just don't understand why.

I used to imagine what wishes I would wish if I was Alladin and found a magic lamp.  I used to think that I'd want wealth and superpowers.  But as I grow older and see my life from a clearer mirror, I wish I could change myself.  I wish I wasn't who I've become, I wish I could do the things I need to do, I wish I wasn't and never was.  But wishes are just that, wishes.  If I really wanted those things I'd get off my fat ass and do those things.  So why can't I do that?  I think it's because in my heart I've given up on myself.  The desire for things to make me happy really have gone away, leave only faint daydreams.  It's easier just to worry about trying to make others happy, which is probably the only reason I continue on.  Maybe someday I'll do enough good to make up for the bad I've done.  But that's a unbeatable battle.  I just hope I don't screw up bad enough to get my "eternal" fate sent where I deserve.  Plus I'm tired of having to say sorry, I've said it too much.  Not because I have nothing to apologize for, but it loses it's meaning when you say it as much as I have and becomes just a meaningless word and I hate wasting people's times with it now.

Okay, I'm done with all the drama self-pity for today.  I'll move on to other subjects.  I got a new digital camera this week, a nice 8.1megapixel  Vivitar Vivicam.  Can't wait to really give this a good tryout.  I'm also excited about the Superbowl, I don't have much invested in either team, but if things work out, I could have a nice little windfall come my way.  Anyways, enough for today.  I'm out.

I've now moved JmanX.net and my network of sites over to a new host.  JmanX.com will be moved over shortly.  More coming soon as I get everything moved over and setup.  Oh, and I've added an old image below that I liked (at the bottom of the updates list) that I made awhile ago.  Oh, and I had tried out Myspace temporarily, but I've decided to ignore it completely from now on.  So there is no "JmanX" account on there that I own, any you see is other people.  JmanX.net is the ONLY place I will be posting any personal information/pictures/etc.

September 11th, 2005

Well, I've updated a couple more pages from the old personal site to this one.  I've added the Family Pics main page and the Other Photos page.

September 1st, 2005

Updating because I'm posting the pictures from the Yosemite Trip we just took.  Enjoy.

July 29th, 2005

This is an easy site to update because really, I don't have to do anything other than type out a little something here and then upload.  I wish JmanX.com was as easy to update as this.  Oh well.  I changed a couple of the links over there on the right, and also some of the nav. links on the left.   Hopefully I'll be able to get this all fixed up sooner or than the .com version.

December 15th, 2004

Well, I finally got around to doing it.  The personal section of my site is now on it's own and separated from JmanX.com and my other sites and stuff.  I've also finally updated some of the older pictures and descriptions (breakups and stuff).  I'll also be putting up some of the few recent photos I have, although I don't have many so don't expect much.  No one takes pictures any more other than Eugene, so check out his site for them.

I don't have, nor do I want really, a livejournal or xanga or any of those other blog accounts, so this site will also be where I post all that junk about what's going on with me.  So expect boring stuff you won't care about filling up most of this main page.
